The conventions of a Magazine Advert

The main conventions of a magazine advert is that it has the Artist or the band on the front of the magazine or something that portray the band like a photo or emblem so that people buying the magazine know which band is featured in the issue this week or whether they are bringing a new album this could be for promotional reason and so the audience know what they new album cover looks like. As you see Above, Lilly Allen takes the main focus of the issue of the Billboard magazine that specialises in music, as well as being on a particular artist it also looks at what is appening with other Bands and Artisits e.g. Lady GaGa.
You can see here that she looks not excited but right for the magazine, and the colours around her are also dull and so this could connote that she is having problems.

  1. Henry, this is a magazine cover not a magazine advert. We looked at some in class... their main conventions were: image of or from album, nameof artist, date of release etc
